That's how it is, right?
Within the Pack it was made crystal clear that those above you are to be respected. And I had no problem keeping to that. If you were an ass, you were put in your place. If you were loyal and diligent, you were praised and trusted. Never did I find someone abusing their rank. Then I met this asshole...

Shiroyu.
Kaori's brother. If I recall right, he is Ayr's brother as well.
Lily had told me about him.
He was believed to be dead after an explosion that occurred before I got there, but she met him. Not that another believed her....
Now, Ayr is a wonderful guy, if a bit hard on himself for past deeds.
Kaori is quiet but really cool and helpful.
I swear, Shiroyu has to be the black kitsune in the family.
He was rude from the moment I met him and he only got meaner. Yesterday, however, was a turning point. After he scared some kids off, I greeted him and Lily, only to hear," I thought I thought I smelled cinnamon and birdshit."

Honestly, that did it. I understand insulting for fun. I understand insulting an enemy. I do not understand insults for the sake of starting a needless argument. He seemed almost proud to throw rudeness at any and everyone in his vicinity. So after needless chat, I punched him. In the face. And I'm damn proud of that.
Of course being a relative of Ayr's, he was strong, and wasted no time beating the crap out of me. He didn't even hold back, despite Lily and Draven's pleas. He didn't land all of his blows, but he made a rather lovely mess of me quick. As a result, I have some broken lower ribs and dealt with a bit of internal bleeding. regardless of what happened though...
I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
